The kings Speech
 
 
The British Council and BFI partnered up together to create one team. They created a 7 year funding programme, which launched  on the 1st of January 2014 in order to boost the industry in Britain.
They gave money to companies in order for them to boost and develop their industry. An example of this is that they supported UK production companies e.g. Recorded Picture Company film by giving them 50 million pounds.
Recorded Picture Company  is a British film production company found in 1974 by Jeremy Thomas. Its an independent production company. Its won 9 academy awards including Best picture. The films its produce includes :'Don't come knocking',' Glastonbury', 'You got me really' and many more films most from the end of 1900 (1975 +)

Momentum
This is one of the leading Independent motion picture distribution in the UK and Ireland.Its a film studio which release many films. They have won 8 BAFTA awards within the production, which makes it the highest amount of awards won by an UK distribution company .Seven of them were from 'The King's speech' and one was from 'The girl with the Dragon tattoo'

Momentum released the film 'The King's Speech' which was one of its most successful due to it winning an Oscar ,BAFTA and BIFA winning . Other films this company has produced are 'Lost in Translation ', 'P.s I love you' ,'Frozen' and many more films.

The King's speech was release on the 7th of January  2011 in the UK. It was shown in 395 cinemas in the UK and made £3,523,102 which is pretty good. The weekend box office rated this the number one film on the first week of its release .In the second week the film was still rated number one with an 25% increase. It overall figures can to £10,759,019 this show how much the films popularity grew. 
 
During the same year the Inbetweeners movie was also brought out  on the 17th of August and was a success, setting the record for the biggest opening weekend for a comedy film in the UK .On the first day it was release it mad £2.5 million in 405 cinemas .It had the biggest opening weekend for a British independent film.
Submarine
This film was released on the 15th of March 2011.Its an warps film production and supported by the UK film council new cinema fund. On its opening weekend it made £244,476 (UK)and was shown on 60 screens. This shows it was less popular than the Inbetweeners and the Kings Speech.
